Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.

2. Your account

• We sign you in with a secure "magic link" sent to your email — there is no password to remember.
• You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for activity that happens under your account.
• Let us know promptly at hello@daisyconnections.co.uk if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, demean, or discriminate against other attendees or organisers.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law.
• Collect, scrape, or harvest other attendees' data, or use it for marketing without consent.
• Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.

4. Events and conduct

The Service helps you register for events, check in, and discover and connect with other attendees (for example via QR-code scans and the feedback you log). When you attend an event, the organiser's own rules and code of conduct also apply alongside these Terms. We are not the organiser of events listed on the Service unless we say so explicitly, and we are not responsible for how events are run.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you provide — your profile, photo, feedback, vibe tags, and notes. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display that content solely as needed to operate and provide the Service to you and the relevant attendees. You are responsible for the content you provide and confirm you have the right to share it.

6. Connections and contact sharing

Where you and another attendee both indicate interest, the Service may surface a match and let you choose to share contact details. Any decision to share your contact details, and any interaction or meeting that follows, is entirely your choice and at your own risk. We do not vet, screen, or background-check attendees, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any user. Always use your judgement and meet new people safely.

6.1 Staying safe online

To help keep yourself safe when connecting with people through the Service, we recommend you:

• Only share contact details you're genuinely comfortable making known to another attendee.
• Get to know someone through messaging before sharing more personal information.
• Keep personal details — your home address, financial information, or daily routine — private until you have good reason to trust someone.
• If you choose to meet in person, pick a public place, and tell a friend or family member where you'll be and who you're meeting.
• Be wary of anyone who pressures you, asks you for money, or tries to move the conversation off-platform unusually quickly — these are common warning signs.
• Trust your instincts: you are never obliged to share your details, reply, or meet anyone.
• Report harassment, scams, or behaviour that makes you uncomfortable to the event organiser or to us at hello@daisyconnections.co.uk.

7. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — is owned by Daisy Connections and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name, logos, or branding except as needed to use the Service normally.

8. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features, and we may carry out maintenance that temporarily interrupts availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is a tool for discovering and connecting with other attendees — we do not guarantee any particular networking, social, or other outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties relating to the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts, omissions, or conduct of other users or event organisers.

11. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users, an organiser, or us. You can find out how we handle your data, including after deletion, in our Privacy Policy.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it. By using the Service you also acknowledge that policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

If we materially change these Terms we'll post the new version here and update the "last updated" date. For substantive changes we'll also notify active users by email or in-app message. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
